Meghalaya minister missing
SHILLONG: Hours after Meghalaya health minister and HSPDP MLA Advisor Pariong resigned from the cabinet of Meghalaya Progressive Alliance-led
state government, his party alleged that Pariong has gone missing since Wednesday night.

Deputy CM (Home) and Hill State People's Democratic Party (HSPDP) president H S Lyngdoh said, "We have failed to locate Pariong since last night. His mobile phone is switched off. I will lodge a missing diary with the police."

Pariong had earlier sent his resignation letter to Chief Minister Donkupar Roy by a messenger.

Lyngdoh also expressed ignorance to Pariong's resignation, saying, "Pariong did not inform me."

While commenting on Pariong's resignation, the chief minister said he had only resigned from the ministry and not from the MPA coalition.

HSPDP has two MLAs in MPA.
